A Study of 294 Hawaiian Schools Using School Improvement Network’s Professional Development Platform Find That Schools with the Platform Outpace the Rest of the State in Academic Growth by More Than 30%

This study measured data collected from 294 schools across 19 districts in Hawaii, utilizing the professional development platform PD 360 (now known as Edivate). With information collected from dozens of elementary, middle, and secondary schools, the study finds that schools utilizing PD 360 (Edivate) are at a distinct, measurable advantage to others in their districts, year after year. Schools using PD 360 (Edivate) are found not only to exceed district benchmarks, but also outperform neighboring schools on assessments, and improve at a more rapid pace than the their collective districts. In fact, schools in the study on average improved at the following rates:

  • Math Proficient Rate:                        17.1%
  • Math Advanced Rate:                       21.4%
  • Reading Proficiency Rate:                19.5%
  • Reading Advanced Rate:                  19.0%

Among its findings, the study also concluded:
